ABSTRACT To assess the effect of event-related potential(ERP)on the cognition function in patients with minimal head injury. Method:Auditory ERP was studied separately in 22 patients with minimal head injury and 20 normal subjects matched with age, sex and education. Results:The P3 latency in patient group was significantly prolonged as compared with the control group(p<0.01). With the improvement of disease, the latency was decreased and the amplitude increased gradually. Conclusion:ERP might be taken as an objective index of measuring the change of the brain cognition function in patients with minimal head injury.
